How can I check my personal data in the Non-residents Records Database (RNI)?

Language selection:English

You can check your personal data in the Non-residents Records Database (RNI) by logging in to MijnOverheid. You can also check by requesting an extract from the RNI. If you live on Bonaire, St Eustatius or Saba, you can visit the public body’s population affairs department to check your data.

Attention: The personal data that is recorded in the RNI depends on how you were registered. Read which data is recorded in the RNI.

Checking information

Select how you want to check your personal data in the RNI:

If you have a DigiD or a recognised form of eID from another European country, you can log in to MijnOverheid to check which of your personal data is recorded in the RNI. After you have logged in, click ‘Identiteit’. You can then click through to your personal data.

Logging into MijnOverheid

Attention: If you don’t already have one, find out how to apply for a DigiD. Or read below how to request an extract from the RNI to check your data.

If you’re not able to check your data on MijnOverheid, you can request an extract from one of the municipalities in the Netherlands with an RNI desk. The fees for this vary per desk.

You can request the extract online (not all desks require a DigiD) or by post. The extract will be sent to the foreign address at which you are registered in the RNI.

You can also make an appointment to collect an extract from an RNI desk, or authorise someone else to collect it for you.

Checking address  without DigiD

If you want to check your address in the RNI but cannot log in to MijnOverheid, visit an RNI desk or authorise someone else to do so, then you can inform an RNI desk of your current address. If this is not your address in the RNI, your address will be updated.

If you live on Bonaire, St Eustatius or Saba, you can check your personal data in the RNI by visiting the population affairs department of the public body on the island where you live.
